TreVeyon Henderson injury update: Patriots rookie hurt against Ravens

The rookie running back remained down after run in the second quarter.

The New England Patriots suffered some injuries in the first half of their Week 16 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Among the players to get hurt is NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite TreVeyon Henderson.

The second-round draft pick remained on the ground following a short run in the second quarter. He was tended to by members of the Patriots medical staff as well as head coach Mike Vrabel before getting up and slowly walking off the field under his own power.

Henderson went straight into the medical tent and later headed for the locker room. No injury update has been issued by the team yet.

The 38th overall pick in April’s draft, Henderson has been a key cog in the Patriots’ offensive machinery. Through 14 games, the Ohio State product has carried the ball 143 times for 773 yards and seven touchdowns. He also was on the receiving end of 34 passes for 212 yards and another score.
