Frasso spent the season in Triple-A Oklahoma City and was non-tendered in November
Nick Frasso returned from shoulder and hip surgeries that wiped out his 2024 season for a full 2025, but he struggled in Triple-A to end his time with the Dodgers.
Acquired from the Blue Jays in the Mitch White trade in 2022, the 6’5 Frasso was ranked the 79th-best prospect in baseball by Baseball Prospectus ahead of the 2023 season, then made the back half of four top-100 lists before 2024.
Frasso was added to the Dodgers’ 40-man roster in November 2023 and after finishing up that year with four starts in Triple-A Oklahoma City, one might have envisioned the right-hander making his major league debut at some point in 2024. Only he never got that chance, after shoulder surgery during the offseason then a hip clean-up procedure during spring training.
Back healthy in 2025, Frasso began the season starting and pitching in bulk relief for Oklahoma City, but switched to a more traditional relief role in mid-May. The total results were only so-so, with a 5.49 ERA in 77 innings and career worsts in both strikeout rate (19.7 percent) and walk rate (12.1 percent).
Frasso did not pitch for the Dodgers in 2025, but technically did get the call to the majors on September 27, though only to be placed on the 60-day injured list in a procedural move that allowed for Andrew Heaney to be called up to pitch the penultimate day of the regular season. Frasso for his efforts earned his first two days of major leaguer service time.

Frasso pitched five scoreless innings for Oklahoma City on May 2 to beat the El Paso Chihuahuas, a Padres affiliate. Frasso walks two, allowed three singles, and struck out three in what tied for his longest outing of the season.
Roster status
Frasso was non-tendered on November 21, making him a free agent. He re-signed with the Dodgers on a minor league deal.
If Frasso ends up back on the 40-man roster, Frasso has one option year remaining.
