On the fourth Sunday of Advent in 1909, 18 members of the Catholic Trinity Parish Youth Association got together to start a football club. After that evening at Borsigplatz, it was another 392 days before BVB played their first match against VfB Dortmund on 15 January 1911.
Today, Borussia Dortmund are one of the largest sports clubs in the world and can look back on 116 years of success. The club stands for community, passion and tradition.
