In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Liverpool are facing stiff competition for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi. It has been claimed that the Reds would have to rival Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to land the Italian talent next year.
Frattesi’s Impressive Form In Italian Football
The 26-year-old has proven his worth as a decent presence in Inter’s match-day squad this season. Frattesi has picked up two assists in 13 matches for the Milan giants in this campaign so far across all fronts.
The Italian midfielder has caught the eye at times in the final third as he is averaging 3.07 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has kept 42.9% of his attempts on target. However, Frattesi needs to improve his ball distribution up top, based on his pass success rate of 73.2% in the Italian top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for the Reds to sign him on the cheap next year.

Is Frattesi A Good Choice For Liverpool Boss Arne Slot?
Frattesi is a good tackler of the ball and usually works hard for his team defensively in the middle of the park. He can shoot the ball with venom and precision from long range and has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates up top.
The Italian sensation is a good dribbler with the ball as well. However, the jury is still out on whether he can cope with the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League.
We can expect Frattesi to enhance the quality of Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s midfield department. He is more than capable of securing a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.
At 26, Frattesi is about to enter his prime, which makes him a worthy target for the Reds to consider in 2026. He might even help the Merseyside club compete for some major honours over the next few seasons. With all things considered, Frattesi would be a decent choice for Liverpool to pursue next year, so Slot would be wise to move in for him this January or at the end of this campaign.
