Bears vs Browns: Inside the Snap Counts, Stats, and Avengers Assemble!

Here are all the Bears' snap counts, a spotlight on some individual statistics, and a few team stats from the win over the Browns from @wiltfongjr.

The Chicago Bears knocked off the Cleveland Browns in a must-have game to maintain their spot in the NFC playoff picture, and they did it in dominating fashion, 31 to 3. The Bears never trailed, and while it was closer in the first half for some fans, this one was never really in doubt.

The Bears had more total yards (361 to 192), more first downs (21 to 9), were better on third downs (38.5% to 28.6%), and had the edge in time of posession (32:52 to 27:08). The Bears also won the turnover battle (3 to 0), and has fewer penalties with 4 for 25 yards to 6 for 21 from Cleveland.

The 192 yards the Bears allowed is the fewest they’ve given up since the 2021 season.

As they have so often this season, the Bears’ offensive line was the best unit on the field, and it’s fitting they have a heroic nickmane.

“I call my o-lineman the Avengers,” quarterback Caleb Williams said in his postgame press conference. “You got those guys up front, they give me enough time with enough space, with the receivers we got and special talent we have, we’ll go make plays, and then, when it’s not there, I think coach trusts me to check the ball down or go make a play for us.”

This, of course, begs the question, which Bears are which Avengers?

If Chicago’s offensive line can keep this up, they can play with anyone.

Let’s look at the Bears’ playing time breakdowns and a few individual stats from the game.

OFFENSE

This was DJ Moore’s second 2 TD game in the last four weeks, making 2025 the first season he’s had two games with multiple TD receptions.

Caleb Williams now holds the NFL record for fewest interceptions in a quarterback’s first 1,000 career passing attempts (12).

D’Andre Swift is just 65 yards shy of a 1,000 rushing yards on the season, which would make him the first Bears running back to hit that mark since David Montgomery in 2020. This was also Swift’s first 2 TD game since 2020, when he was a Lion.

Luther Burden III’s 6 receptions are a career high.

DEFENSE

The Bears had a weird starting lineup on defense yesterday because the Browns started the game on their 1-yard line in 14 personnel with three tight ends and an eligible offensive lineman on the field. Chicago started five defensive linemen and just one corner, so technically, Jaylon Johnson didn’t start in a game he played in for the first time in his Bears career.

Linebacker D’Marco Jackson had 7 tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, an interception, and 2 passes defended. What a good pick-up he’s been since being claimed off waivers before the season started.

T.J. Edwards had 9 tackles, 2 TFL, and 2 QB hits.

Austin Booker had 4 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 sacks, and 4 QBH.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson had an interception, 2 PD, 4 tackles, and a TFL.

Grady Jarrett had 4 tackles, a TFL, and a sack.

Montez Sweat had a tackle and 2 QBH.

Jaylon Johnson had an interception and a tackle.

Gervon Dexter Sr. had a tackle, a TFL, and a sack.

Andrew Billings had 3 QBH.
