Cameron Kuchar, Pavel Tsar and Wylie Inman are floating around the cut line after the first day of play at the U.S. Junior Amateur in Dallas.
A trio of Palm Beach County golfers are in contention to qualify for match play at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
Cameron Kuchar, Wylie Inman and Pavel Tsar are each within two strokes of the estimated cut line after the first day of play at Trinity Forest and Brook Hollow Golf Club on July 21 in Dallas.
The U.S. Junior Amateur features a 264-player field that will cut to the top 64 after two rounds of stroke play. Trinity Forest will then host championship match play rounds with the final match scheduled for July 26.
With players at 2-over tied for 59th and players at 3-over tied for 90th, the estimated cut line is at the latter with a playoff to be conducted to get the match play draw to exactly 64 players.
Tsar (2-over), a Benjamin School graduate and Notre Dame signee, and Kuchar (3-over), a senior at Jupiter High, are each inside the projected cut line.
Inman (5-over), a senior at Dwyer High, sits just outside the projected cut line.
California's Kailer Stone and China's Qiyou Wu lead the stroke play competition at 5-under.
Inman will start the second round off No. 1 at Brook Hollow at 8:54 a.m. on July 22.
Kuchar will tee off the second round on No. 10 at Brook Hollow at 8:59 a.m. on July 22.
Tsar will start the final stroke play round on No. 10 at Brook Hollow at 1:19 p.m. on July 22.
