One former Chicago Bears $80 million playmaker could be heading to a familiar team this fall.
The Chicago Bears have upgraded their receiving core over the past few years, adding former Los Angeles Chargers receiver Keenan Allen to the team last season.
In one season with the Bears, Allen recorded 744 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 17 games.
This offseason, Allen's four-year $80 million deal came to an end, and he is currently a free agent.
The Bears have shown no signs of wanting to bring him back, and he could return to the team he left last season to join the Bears in Chicago.
Kristopher Knox from Bleacher Report thinks Allen could sign with the Los Angeles Chargers before the preseason.

"A return to the Los Angeles Chargers would also make sense. The Chargers lacked receiver depth after parting with Allen and Mike Williams last offseason, Knox wrote. They brought back Williams early this offseason, but he decided to retire just before the start of training camp."
The Chargers already have a reunion this offseason with wide receiver Mike Williams, who left the Chargers in 2024, but he decided to retire last week, right before the start of training camp.
Allen would make a ton of sense for the Chargers since he knows quarterback Justin Herbert and could be the reason why the team finally wins the AFC West and takes the Kansas City Chiefs out of the No. 1 position.
