MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin kicks off the 2025 season against Miami (OH) Thursday night from Camp Randall Stadium. The Badgers are looking to wash out the sour taste in their mouths after five consecutive defeats to close the 2024 campaign and missing a bowl game for the first time since 2001. Thursday marks the second-ever meeting between UW and the Redhawks. The Badgers took home a 58-0 victory back in 2015, the home debut for former head coach Paul Chryst.

Tight end Tucker Ashcraft (leg) will be out vs. Miami (OH). Head coach Luke Fickell confirmed the news on Monday.
“Tucker will not make it,” Fickell said. “I don’t know if we officially know how long he’ll be out for.”
Center Jake Renfro, who suffered a leg injury in fall camp, is not on the injury report and will start for the Badgers.
“Jake should be good,” Fickell said. “He’s practiced, I think the last four or five days. So he looks good and looks healthy. So I feel like we’re in a good place there.”
