Franco Mastantuono gets Argentina call-up for upcoming international break

Nico Paz also gets the call-up.

Real Madrid starlet Franco Mastantuono has received a call-up by Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni for the upcoming international break in September, it was announced on Thursday.

The player has one appearance for Argentina in the past — which was earlier this year — and will now get his call-up once again as Argentina play out their World Cup qualifiers.

Real Madrid-bound Como star Nico Paz has also received a call-up from Scaloni, and he will be in the squad for the two matches against Venezuela and Ecuador on September 4th and September 9th, respectively.

It remains to be seen whether Mastantuono gets any minutes against these teams, but with Argentina being leagues above the others in the group, both Mastantuono and Paz could get a decent amount of minutes.

Everyone hopes that the 18-year-old Real Madrid forward is able to return to Spain fully fit, as that is the most important thing.
