Nottingham Forest says no to West Ham for Ibrahim Sangaré
Ibrahim Sangaré will not be moving to West Ham this summer, at least not under the terms proposed by the Hammers. According to several sources close to the matter, Nottingham Forest has rejected an offer from their English counterparts for the Ivorian midfielder, who arrived a year ago from PSV Eindhoven.
West Ham, eager to bolster its midfield after several departures, had made Ibrahim Sangaré a top target. An official loan offer was submitted in recent days to Nottingham Forest, but the East Midlands club's management deemed it insufficient and did not hesitate to turn it down. In fact, according to Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham is only open to letting the Ivorian international leave under two conditions: either a permanent transfer with a significant fee, or a loan with a 100% guaranteed obligation to buy.

Ibrahim Sangaré, 27, remains a key figure in Nuno Espírito Santo's midfield. Despite two initial seasons hampered by injuries and a gradual adaptation to the intensity of the Premier League, the Ivorian international is regarded as a cornerstone in the club's sporting project. Nottingham Forest’s refusal now forces West Ham to look elsewhere. The London club, still actively seeking to strengthen its midfield, sees one of its prime targets slip away after Nottingham’s categorical rejection of any deal for the Ivorian, who is under contract until 2028.
