Braves News: Matt Olson, explosive win, more

The Braves’ offense went off, including a strong afternoon from Matt Olson

Well we are back with another look at the draft lottery odds, an things are getting pretty spicy. The Braves have been winning a good bit lately and are now sitting with the fifth best odds. They are within 3.0 games of Pittsburgh for the second best odds (20.32% chance of the first pick) and within 4.0 games of St. Louis for the fourteenth best odds (1.17% chance of the first pick), so there is a lot of variance for the final month of the season, in terms of draft lottery odds.

Elsewhere, Drake Baldwin continues to more or less tread water in the NL ROY race as some of his competitors have perhaps pulled ahead of him. Drake’s offensive performance has been pretty good, but not amazing, and he is still missing out on a bunch of plate appearances, as Marcell Ozuna continues to get some run at DH. Here’s hoping for an explosive September from Drake.
