Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson got into it with a Washington Commanders fan during the team’s final preseason game on Saturday. As the Ravens were walking in the tunnel, the Commanders fan was trash-talking Jackson, which led to him making an NSFW gesture at the person before walking away.

It was clear the two-time NFL MVP was going to get the upper hand on the Commanders fan. And now that the preseason is over, Jackson and the Ravens can focus on the regular season, which begins on Sunday, Sept. 7, when they face the Buffalo Bills.

Lamar Jackson didn’t see any preseason action this year, which was the plan since he hasn’t played in a preseason game since the 2022 season. Last Wednesday, Jackson left practice early after his foot was stepped on. He did not practice the following day, and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave an update on the former Louisville star.

“He got his foot stepped on, like we said yesterday,” Harbaugh said. “They did a quick X-ray, and there’s no damage or anything like that. I’m sure it’s a little sore today, so we just kept him in. He’s fine, he’s going to be good.”

Lamar Jackson had a monster 2024 NFL season

Jackson is looking to lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl title after coming up short the last few seasons. During the 2023 season, Baltimore lost to the eventual champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Conference Championship. Last year, the Ravens lost to the Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs.

“To be honest, I’m really not trying to think that far [ahead], because every time we had those discussions, man, we get to the playoffs, but we don’t punch in,” Jackson said last month when asked about Super Bowl aspirations. “We don’t finish, so I’m pretty much just trying to finish camp the correct way and then get ready for the [Buffalo] Bills. I’m not really trying to think about the Super Bowl yet.”

In 2024, Jackson threw for  4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and only four interceptions, while rushing for 915 yards and four scores. He just missed winning his third MVP award, as he finished second in voting behind Bills QB Josh Allen.
