Although the Golden State Warriors completed a roster move on Sunday, it likely won’t move the needle for the organization’s fanbase.

Still, it’s worth reporting that the Dubs signed a record-breaking 25-year-old guard to help Stephen Curry.

“The Golden State Warriors and Taevion Kinsey have agreed to a deal,” HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto stated on X/Twitter.

“Kinsey was on a 10-day and two-way contract with the Utah Jazz in 2024. He was recently selected for the NBA G League United Team in the 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup in September.”

Kinsey enjoyed a standout five-year career at Marshall, leading the Thundering Herd to a 2019 CBI title, winning the Sun Belt Player of the Year in 2023, and becoming the organization’s all-time leading scorer with 2,641 points.

However, the Columbus, Ohio native has yet to find his footing in the NBA. While Kinsey has inked 10-day and two-way contracts with the Utah Jazz, he hasn't appeared in an NBA contest.

Kinsey has received valuable reps in the G-League, though, averaging 12.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists with the Salt Lake City Jazz last year, shooting 51.9% from the field and 33.0% from three in 34 contests.

Kinsey isn’t the answer to the Warriors’ problems, but it’ll be fascinating to witness the Marshall legend attempt to jumpstart his NBA career in the Bay.
