After the preseason finale on Friday against the Atlanta Falcons, roster decisions now face Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer. Getting down to 53 players is never an easy task. Especially when you have guys working their way back from long-term injuries.
One of those is cornerback Trevon Diggs, after missing most of 2024 due to a knee injury. A positive update was provided on Saturday, reportedly tending toward starting on the roster. PUP was an option, meaning some games would be missed by requirement. Instead, Diggs has a chance to get back on the field sooner rather than later.
“The expectation is that Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs (knee) will start the season on the 53-man roster,” Jon Machota of The Athleticsaid via X. “A good sign considering the knee injury he’s working back from.”
