Friday’s scrimmage saw the defense get off to a slow start with the starters. However, they finished the day without giving up any scores … so there was truly some light at the end of the tunnel.
Yesterday, there were some completions for first downs but the defensive also had some interceptions.
The ‘D’ is not at midseason form, but from our perspective, we don’t expect the staff believe that they would be given the amount of practice some of the starters missed during camp.
Hopefully, they can go into the season opener vs Tarleton State healthy.
