On Tuesday night, Blue & Gold announced the hiring of former Notre Dame wide receiver Robby Toma for its YouTube channel.
The Laie, Hawaiʻi, native will co-host the Toma’s Take show on Monday evenings during the football season with Blue & Gold’s Mike Singer. Toma and Singer will discuss the game Notre Dame played the previous weekend, look ahead to the Irish’s next contest and examine the program’s broader outlook.
Blue & Gold has the largest YouTube channel in the Notre Dame media space (besides the university’s channel), boasting over 31,000 subscribers and several thousand views per live show.
Toma’s show is part of an expansive Blue & Gold YouTube lineup, along with the Tuesday night Notre Dame football show and postgame recap with Singer and Tim Hyde, 6-pack with Tyler Horka and Jack Soble and recruiting update with Singer and Kyle Kelly. Blue & Gold is likely to add another show during the season as well.
Toma played for Notre Dame from 2009 to 2012, recording 60 receptions for 667 yards with one receiving touchdown and one rushing score during his Irish career.
He was a three-star prospect in Notre Dame’s 2009 class and attended Honolulu Punahou alongside Irish legend Manti Te’o.
