“Here we go!” – Fabrizio Romano announces Wednesday night done deal for Chelsea owners

We have another ‘here we go’ done deal for Chelsea to sign another player late on Wednesday night in a surprising move.

Most of Chelsea’s deals that are being worked on or have been done so far this summer we have known all about, but this one has come from nowhere, and is also rather confusing and complicated.

Sources: Chelsea player NOT FOR SALE despite Premier League approach recently!

Before we get into that though, Chelsea are trying to sell players right now, as we all know. One of those is Nicolas Jackson, and he has a new suitor coming in for him in the shape of Tottenham after they fail in their attempts to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

And then news came out late last night reporting that Chelsea had also agreed a fee to sell defender Rento Veiga to Villarreal in a saga that had been going on for a good few weeks now.

But Chelsea are also working on a few more incomings, yet not one person expected one of them to be Brighton attacker Julio Enciso! Yes, you read that correctly, but there’s a twist.

BlueCo sign Enciso!

As posted by Fabrizio Romano on X last night, BlueCo group who own Chelsea and Strasbourg, are signing Enciso from Brighton.

Romano said:

“Julio Enciso will join BlueCo group spending this season at Strasbourg then joining Chelsea, here we go! 🇵🇾

“Season 2025/26 in France… and then future at Chelsea, contract until 2031 plus option until 2032.

“€20m package to Brighton, add-ons included. Medical on Thursday.”

Confusing deal

So it’s not clear at all whether Enciso is a Chelsea player but going on loan to Strasbourg for the season before coming back to Chelsea. Or whether he is a Strasbourg player but Chelsea have agreed to sign him next summer in a pre-agreed deal.

What a strange occurrence.
