Final Kansas State depth chart projection: Offense

Avery Johnson was given the reins last year, and it’s clearly his team without a doubt. Dylan Edwards is ready to be a star in Manhattan. It could be time for Joe Jackson to make his mark as well, but is there anyone else in the K-State backfield that can make a push?

Our final projected Kansas State depth chart comes via a message board post at KSO and digs into who the starters and main contributors will be for the Wildcats in 2025. An actual 2-deep will likely be released by the coaching staff early on Monday.

We start with the offensive side of the ball, now led by new K-State offensive coordinator Matt Wells.

There’s no mystery at the quarterback spot. Avery Johnson was given the reins last year, and it’s clearly his team without a doubt. His offensive line loves him. His receivers love him. The team loves him. But who replaces Ta’Quan Roberson as the Kansas State reliever?

Dylan Edwards is ready to be a star in Manhattan. It could be time for Joe Jackson to make his mark as well, but is there anyone else in the K-State backfield that can make a push? That’s what Brian Anderson has his eye on this year.

The receiver room at Kansas State looks a lot different. There’s a lot of new faces, as Matthew Middleton attempts to improve a spot that has been a little short on production the past few seasons. Who will the Wildcats count on?

Tight end is a different animal. The only new face is Linkon Cure. Will he impact the depth chart? That remains to be seen. But how do the Wildcats keep all four of Brayden Loftin, Will Anciaux, Will Swanson and Garrett Oakley happy?

Kansas State has typically had the luxury of returning a lot of starts and/or snaps along the offensive line in recent memory. That’s not necessarily the case this season. On top of that, there’s a new leader in the front of the room in assistant Brian Lepak. What does that mean for the group?
