Travis Hunter will not play in Jaguars vs. Saints preseason Week 2 matchup. Who else?

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a list of players who will not suit up against the New Orleans Saints later today. Is Travis Hunter among them?

Travis Hunter will not play against the New Orleans Saints today for the Jacksonville Jaguars' second preseason game of the year.

Entering this weekend's contest, Hunter's status remained up in the air due to an upper-body injury presumably sustained during the team's second scrimmage on Thursday. Hunter stretched ahead of the team's walkthrough practice on Friday, but did not participate.

The second-overall pick was seen on the sideline next to Jaguars wide receivers coach Edgar Bennett with a playsheet in hand, staying in the action mentally while being unable to participate.

Hunter's status was not the only one up in the air entering this weekend's game against New Orleans. Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said Friday that he was undecided as to whether or not the team's starters would suit up.

The Jaguars have sustained multiple injuries to front-line players, including right guard/tackle Chuma Edoga and right tackle Anton Harrison, among others.

"I don't really want to do a, 'You're playing. You're not playing,' that kind of deal," Coen said. "So we kind of need to just make sure that if we are putting Trevor [Lawrence], we make sure we're protected and we have the right guys in front. Same with the runners. Just making sure that we're not putting people in vulnerable spots because we are injured."

Coen had changed his tune by Saturday, with the team announcing via social media that the head coach has informed players that the starters would suit up against New Orleans.

Ahead of the contest, the Jaguars announced a list of players who would not participate. Many of the team's injured players are listed, but it appears to be enough to let Lawrence and company get a warm-up session against the NFC South foe.
