Green Bay Packers defensive end Barryn Sorrell left Saturday’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts with an injury. The rookie pass-rusher is dealing with a left knee injury, according to the TV broadcast.

Sorrell had a solid showing last week in his preseason debut, registering two quarterback hits as he generated pressure. Green Bay selected him in the fourth round out of Texas, where he served as a key piece of the vaunted Longhorns pass rush for the last three years and helped the program to back-to-back national semifinal appearances.

Sorrell had a huge senior season at Texas in 2024. He totaled 44 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss and six sacks – setting career-highs in the latter two categories. All told, he had 132 tackles, 26 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks over four years in Austin and three seasons in a starting role.
