Chicago Sky Coach Has Strong Words for Angel Reese on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The Chicago Sky were recently defeated by the Indiana Fever, while playing without WNBA star Angel Reese.

Reese was out of the game with an injury, while the Fever were missing their biggest star, Caitlin Clark, who has been out of the lineup for quite some time.

The Sky star has been working through a back injury that has plagued her during her second WNBA season.

After the Sky were blown out 92-70 by the Fever, all eyes turned to their next matchup against the Connecticut Sun.

Ahead of their matchup against the Sun, Chicago Sky coach Tyler Marsh gave an update on Reese.

He mentioned that there is no timetable for her return, and Reese remains out of the lineup heading into the latter half of the WNBA season.

While sharing an update on Reese's injury, Marsh also shared high praise for the WNBA star.

"She wants to be out there," Marsh said. "She's a competitor, she's a fighter, she's a winner. It's hard for her not being out there for her teammates, but we want her to be as healthy as possible when she is ready to come back."

Tyler Marsh is in his first season coaching with the Chicago Sky.

Angel Reese found success early in the season under the new coaching staff, but injuries have caused a major setback. Despite missing time and working with a new staff and roster, Reese recently played in the second WNBA All-Star game of her career.

Throughout her second season in the WNBA, Angel Reese has posted 14.2 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game for the Chicago Sky. Chicago visits Connecticut at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
