Manchester City are interested in signing Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong according to The Guardian.
The Blues have been busy this summer and have made four summer signings in Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro.
Chelsea aren’t done there and are also working on deals for Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, whilst they could add another centre back.
Manchester City interested in Josh Acheampong
Chelsea have a number of players they are looking to move on, whilst they also need to find solutions for a number of talented youngsters.
Acheampong is one such player, and the teenager was promoted to the first team squad last season, along with Tyrique George.

After being frozen out by Chelsea, Acheampong signed a long term contract last year, and made 13 appearances in all competitions last season, although just four of those were in the league.
Acheampong has been linked with a move to Bournemouth, but Maresca stated earlier this summer he was keen to keep hold of the youngster.
Due to the ACL injury suffered by Levi Colwill, there’s a chance Acheampong could feature more regularly this season, but Maresca has made it clear he wants another centre back.
However, The Guardian have reported Manchester City are interested in signing Acheampong, but Chelsea are set to reject any offers for the 19-year-old, whilst Newcastle have also been monitoring the situation.
