Despite a recent drop off, going from 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023 to just 959 yards and six touchdowns last season, in roughly the same number of games, Tyreek Hill remains one of the NFL's most talked about wide receivers.
On Tuesday, the league posted a nostalgia montage of pictures of different wideouts over the years, including Hill's rookie portrait, with the caption, "Seasons change, WRs evolve 😮💨."
Featured in the post were stars from across the league, from the Minnesota Vikings' Justin Jefferson to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Mike Evans and the Los Angeles Rams' Davante Adams.
However, it was a string of comments that singled out Hill specifically and just how different he looks now, nearly a decade later.
NFL fans were quick to notice one specificity regarding Hill's appearance.
"Tyreek got the best neck," said one user.
"Where tyreek neck at?" another fan replied
"never existed what you mean 😂😂," another user responded.
"Deebo and Tyreek got some THICCC necks lol," one other user commented.
"Turtleneck on Tyreek makes a big difference 😂," another fan replied.
"Tyreek needs to lay off the shoulder shrugs 😆," said one other user.
Tyreek Hill's 2025 NFL Season Outlook
Drafted in the fifth round in 2016 (165th overall), Hill grew from All-Pro returner to a top-tier wideout, winning Super Bowl LIV with the Kansas City Chiefs before a 2022 trade to the Miami Dolphins.
Despite producing his lowest yardage total since 2019 last year, primarily due to a wrist injury and instability at quarterback (Tua Tagovailoa played in just 11 games), expectations remain high this season.
Entering 2025, Hill publicly vowed a more mature approach, said he regretted end-of-season "I’m out" comments and emphasized leadership in conversations with teammates and coach Mike McDaniel.
He also reported getting leaner, passing Miami’s conditioning test and flashing track speed by winning a 100-meter race in 10.15 seconds in California during the offseason.
On Aug. 4, he was ranked No. 47 on the NFL Top 100 list after being voted No. 1 by peers the prior year.
His first two Dolphins seasons set a high bar with 238 catches for 3,509 yards and 20 combined touchdowns, earning first-team All-Pro in both.
At 31 years old, we probably won't see these totals again, but with eight Pro Bowl nods in nine seasons, fans remain optimistic.
