The Buffalo Bills head into the NFL season with hopes of winning the franchise's first Super Bowl.

Led by coach Sean McDermott, Buffalo made its way to the AFC title game last season but lost to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

As the Bills prepare for a new season with quarterback Josh Allen at the helm, their signal-caller had a chance to catch up with Craig Bohl, his coach when he played for the University of Wyoming. The retired football coach visited Bills training camp on Tuesday.

When Bohl met with media to discuss Allen, the conversation naturally included Allen's upcoming (Sept. 5) induction into the University of Wyoming's Hall of Fame.

"He transformed the state," Bohl said. "Wyoming had enjoyed a proud history of great football way, way back, but we had fallen on hard times. He made people in the state proud and gave them a real sense of what we can accomplish. So for him to be inducted into the Hall of Fame is certainly right. I'm happy for him."

During his three seasons at Wyoming, Allen passed for 44 touchdowns and 5,066 yards with a 56.2 completion percentage. The Cowboys went 16-11 in 27 games Allen played, including 16-8 in his final two seasons. Allen is considered one of the best players in program history, and he was drafted with seventh pick in the 2018 draft.

Last season with the Buffalo Bills, Allen led his team to two playoff victories. Buffalo defeated the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens en route to the AFC title game.

Allen finished the 2024 season with 28 passing touchdowns, 3,731 passing yards and a 63.6 completion percentage. He added 12 touchdowns and 531 yards on the ground.
