The 2025 NFL season is approaching, making way for teams across the league to compete for a Super Bowl title.
As players and coaches prepare for the new season, reporters and networks are also gearing up for brand-new coverage. Just before the season kicks off, ESPN made a decision on its coverage team.
ESPN has promoted NFL reporter Laura Rutledge to a full-time position alongside Lisa Salters on "Monday Night Football."
"Monday Night Football is on the horizon," posted the ESPN public relations team. "ESPN has extended Lisa Salters, elevated @LauraRutledge's sideline reporting role & added @Katie_George05 & @PSchrags to select games."

Upon the release of the announcement, The Athletic's Andrew Marchand revealed a change in the ESPN crew for the No. 2 team, which will now include Peter Schrager and Katie George on the sideline.
Schrager will be entering his first season at ESPN after leaving NFL Network in the offseason, where he was on the panel at "Good Morning Football."
Along with her participation in "Monday Night Football," Laura Rutledge also serves as a host on "SEC Nation" alongside some of the biggest names in college football such as Paul Finebaum and Tim Tebow.
Rutledge will have her hands full this upcoming season, working primetime positions in the NFL and college football landscapes.
The first "Monday Night Football" game of the season will be a matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears at 8:15 p.m. ET on Sept. 8 in Chicago and will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN.
