Browns new stadium: Map of changes, development in Brook Park

The new Browns dome is all but certain and now we have a look at a map of Brook Park’s plans

The Cleveland Browns will be going to Brook Park with a new domed stadium. The official announcement hasn’t actually happened, but everyone, including the team’s owners, is talking as if it is a done deal with shovels in the ground early next year.

There has been a lot of discussion around what is good and bad about the new Browns domed stadium and area, but much of that will go by the wayside if the team does a good job with the process. Some fans will never want indoor football in Cleveland, despite it being a myth that it helps the team on the field.

The funding is in place for the stadium and area, but there are still a lot of questions about how the area around Brook Park will be prepared for such an influx of people. The city just released a map of the area and the work that will be done around it, including the Browns new stadium:

There is a lot to take in on the map, especially for those who frequent the area and the airport. Our Tom Moore, who has done a fabulous job of covering all parts of the new stadium process, had one quick takeaway after seeing the map:

Everyone knows they need to build up the infrastructure around the site and this is part of it. The takeaway appears to be: Get ready for a lot of construction delays/mess around the airport for the next 3 years.

Like most things, the “delays/mess” will only be worth it if the outcome is equal to or greater than the struggles of the process.

What jumps out at you when you look at the map above? Good, bad, exciting?
