A preseason look at the top WJFL linebackers heading into the 2025 high school football season
Here are some of South Jersey's best going into the 2025 season.

15. Danny Greene, Northern Burlington. As the Greyhounds' man in the middle of the defense, this junior piled up 57 tackles to go with four tackles for loss.
14. Liam Carmel, Wildwood. The Warriors' senior makes trip to the headwaters of the Parkway a nightmare for opposing offenses with 50 tackles to go along with a pair of interceptions and seven tackles for loss.
13. Sean O’Reilly, Camden Catholic. By putting a little Irish in the middle of the Camden Catholic defense, this senior backs the line with 62 tackles, including three sacks and two interceptions.
12. Christian Ship, Holy Cross Prep. The Lancers defense is in terrific hands with this senior patrolling behind the line amassing three sacks, 11 tackles behind the line and interception and 65 tackles overall.
11. Ryan Breeze, Cherry Hill West. As a breath of fresh air in the center of the Lions' defense, the senior stopped seven plays behind the line of scrimmage, made 79 tackles and swiped a pass.
10. Nico Thongchanh, Clayton. This junior compiled four tackles for loss and 74 total tackles to go along with a sack and interception and four TFLs while leading the Clippers' defense.
9. Caden Luby, Collingswood. Another senior that has a defense built around him, this Panthers' stopped 80 ball carriers, including two quarterbacks trying to pass and 17 runners behind the line of scrimmage.
8. Jack Jordan, Delran. If the ball was in the vicinity, this Bears' senior was sure to be found as his 86 tackles with a scak and interception and 18 TFLs can attest.
7. Jimmy Sackie, Burlington Township. With 60 tackles and six sacks, this Falcons' senior was a linchpin of his team's defense while adding an interception and 11 tackles for loss.
6. Justus Peyton, Cedar Creek. Triple digit tackles are no joke for this Pirate's senior after a 108-tackle, two sack, one interception season which included 24 stops before the ball carrier reached the scrimmage line.
5. Tasheem Butler, Glassboro. A key part of South jersey's most dominating small-school defenses, this Bulldogs' junior spent a good deal of time behind the line with three sacks and 20 TFLs among his 109 total tackles.
4. Jaylen Robinson, Washington Township. A pillar of strength behind the Minutemen's line, this senior backer had 105 tackles with four sacks and 26 tackles for loss.
3. Ausar Heard, Winslow. Even the Eagles' high-flying offense can't overshadow this junior backer, who tallied 118 total tackles with four sacks and an interception.
2. Shermar Collins, Millville. There's no truth to the rumor that the Thunderbolts' name refers to this senior's playing style despite the fact he struck for 105 total tackles two sacks, 23 tackles for loss and an interception.
1. Donovan Linthicum, Oakcrest. Opponents still can't believe the Villanova-bound Falcons' senior hasn't graduated after a five-sack, 22 tackle for loss, 122 total tackle season last fall.
