Shortly after the Major League Baseball season began, the minor leagues began to get going across every level.
Mississippi State currently has an incredible 40-plus former players that are playing minor league baseball to go along with the 11 that are in the MLB.
At the start of the season, there were nine former Bulldogs in AAA trying to get themselves on a main roster. Several of those have already gotten a taste of the big leagues with JP France, Dakota Hudson, Ethan Small, and Justin Foscue all having at least a stint in the MLB. All of those players are on standby for another trip to the biggest stage.
There are also several players that are now beginning their minor league careers or taking part in their first full season in MiLB after donning the maroon and white last season.
Every week, we will update the stats and follow the progress of all of the former State players that are in the minors.
This past week, Hunter Stovall and Christian MacLeod made the move back up to Triple A. In Double A, KC Hunt had his best performance of the season with 6.0 scoreless innings giving up just one hit and no walks. Landon Sims had his 13th-consecutive scoreless appearance and earned another save.
