Thomas County Central (GA) has become a factory for producing Division I talent under head coach Justin Rogers.

The Yellow Jackets have a star-studded roster, featuring class of 2028 defensive lineman Prince Che.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive end already has an extensive offer sheet. Arkansas State, California, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Missouri State, Old Dominion, Troy, and Virginia Tech have already offered. However, Che is waiting for an offer from in-state Georgia to come along.

Che is very familiar with the Bulldogs because they’re recruiting several of his high school teammates.

Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo visited Thomas County Central in the spring.

Che admitted that he didn’t get a chance to interact with Bobo, but noticed he had taken an interest in him.

“Georgia was here,” Che said in May. “I think it was the offensive coordinator. I saw him recording a couple of clips.”

Che is very aware of Georgia’s production at his position.

“Georgia has some good defensive linemen, like Mykel Williams,” Che said. “I like watching the film and stuff, and I learn from it, getting better every day and learning from it. I like his pass rush, which is elite, and his moves.”

Che only began playing football in middle school when his uncle introduced him to the sport. In that short amount of time, he has developed into one of the nation’s top defensive tackles. Che has learned fast.

“From eighth-grade football to high school is a really big jump because you don’t really learn anything in eighth grade,” Che said. “You come over here to play with these guys with more experience, just learning from them, getting better, and everything like that. My uncle taught me to play. Football is actually his favorite sport. He taught me how to play football because of my size. I actually played soccer before this. He was like, ‘Hey, boy, you’re big, so you’ve got to play football, man,'”.

Che is still learning and is primed to have a significant impact for Thomas County Central on the field in 2025 as a sophomore. He’s hoping that if he plays well and keeps developing, an offer from the Bulldogs will follow.

“It would mean everything to me,” Che said. “I mean, I’m really blessed to have all these offers. As a freshman, you don’t expect to get this many offers. Just going out there working, proving to the coaches that you can do something. Having an offer from Georgia is really going to mean something to me.”
