Houston Astros ace Hunter Brown continues to be a nightmare for the opposition as he marked his 10th win of the season, coming against the Red Sox. Brown led his team to a 4-1 victory with another quality outing.

Brown's outing on Wednesday spanned 6⅔ innings, during which he allowed just one run on six hits and three walks, while striking out four batters. The victory also snapped his six-start winless streak.

Offensively, the Astros received a boost from a leadoff home run from Jeremy Pena against Walker Buehler. Yainer Diaz drove in a run with a single to cap off the first inning with a 2-0 lead. The Red Sox responded with an RBI single from Ceddanne Rafaela off Brown in the second inning. Brown got out of a jam as he struck out Connor Wang to strand two men on base.

Brown was also helped by an exceptional sliding play by Christian Walker, robbing Trevor Story of a potential hit in the fourth inning. Diaz drove in another two runs with his home run in the sixth inning as the Astros extended their lead to 4-1. This proved to be the last scoring shot of the night.

Brown has been a key asset to the Astros' rotation all season long. He has posted a 2.45 ERA with 164 strikeouts to his name. Meanwhile, the win helps the Astros retake the AL West lead as the Mariners slide to second place with a 67-54 record and one game behind the two-time World Series champions.
