The Golden State Valkyries' star point guard just put up a career-high in scoring and a historic WNBA stat line overall to lead a narrow win over the Washington Mystics. The victory pushes the Valkyries to 18-15 on the season, holding onto the seventh seed in the league right now.

The 30 points are a career-high total, and that's ridiculous efficiency in the process.
Her well-rounded game showed up as usual in the rebounds and the steals.
Burton is also regarded as an incredible defender, and she and the rest of the Valkyries held rookie phenom Sonia Citron to 4-for-13 shooting from the field.
It's the latest brilliant outing in a special year for Burton, who was a key pick by the expansion Valkyries.
In fact, it's the third-ever 30-5-5 game by a player on an expansion team, per espnW.
This has finally been the opportunity Burton needed to break out in the W.
She was a superstar in Newton, Massachusetts, who went on to Northwestern and became a three-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.
Burton was chosen seventh overall in 2022 by the Dallas Wings. She played for the Connecticut Sun last season before getting a chance to spread her wings this season with the Valkyries.
