With the 2025 season 25 days away, we look at who wears the number for the Raiders now and who wore it best.
We've reached 25 days until the Raiders season opener at Foxboro against the Patriots, With our countdown at 25 days we take a look at who currently dons the number in Silver & Black and who has brought it the most distinction.
No. 25
Who's wearing it now: CB DeCamerion Richardson
Entering his second season, the former fourth round pick out of Mississippi State is making a play to see more snaps this season. He has seen reps with the first team defense on occasion and that could continue come the season. At 6-2, Pete Carroll likes his size as an outside cornerback.
Who wore it best: WR Fred Biletnikoff
While 25 is not a number you see on receivers in today's day and age, Biletnikoff made a Hall of Fame career in the 60s and 70s wearing it. His entire 14-year career was suited up for the Raiders. Six times making the Pro Bowl and twice named an All Pro. He owned every major receiving record in Raiders franchise history until Tim Brown eventually surpassed many of them. And that was in a very different era some 25 years before Brown overtook his records. And Brown had two more seasons in which to do it.
The name of the award for the best receiver in college football each year still bears his name.
