Malik Nabers is ready to make some big plays with Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this fall. In an interview with On3, the star Giants wide receiver opened up about working with the two veteran quarterbacks.
“Having a guy like Russell with that experience, Super Bowl champion, he knows how he knows what to do right,” Malik Nabers told On3. “He knows how to get there, and he knows how to win it. So just putting that atmosphere in that locker room, creating hope for us, and just being a complete leader as we continue to go on and go on through the season.
“I think just having him knowing he’s been through it already, been through the back half, been through the front half, been through the good, been through the bad, and learned how to be steady throughout the whole season. So just having that guy in our locker room has been very helpful.”
Russell Wilson joined the Giants this offseason after spending the 2024 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 36-year-old has put together a Hall of Fame career, as he was named to the Pro Bowl 10 times and led the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl title during the 2013 season.

Nabers then shared what he likes about Winston. “He’s been great. Another great leader that’s been helping us in that locker room, helping us as a team, creating that other half of being that leader role,” Nabers stated. “But I think he’s took the role into helping the youth, helping those younger guys get ahead. Helping me for sure, helping me with just staying up with helping my body. Also, him and Russ have been doing a great job of just trying to help me be the best and best I can be, just with health-wise.”
Like Wilson, Winston joined the Giants during the offseason. He spent the 2024 season with the Cleveland Browns and is entering his 11th NFL season. In his career, Winston was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2015 and led the NFL in passing yards in 2019.
Nabers is hoping that Wilson and Winston can take his game to new levels. During his rookie season in 2024, the former LSU star caught 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games. He has the NFL record for most receptions by a rookie wide receiver in a single season.
