Milwaukee Brewers Top 50 Prospects: August Update As New Draftees Added originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Milwaukee Brewers continue to boast one of the top farm systems in all of baseball and it only gets better. As the 2025 season has gone on, there have been a lot of changes and updates to the rankings of the Crew's top prospects. Some have underperformed, some have broken out, while others have been added or subtracted.
Now that the Trade Deadline is complete and the 2025 Draft picks have been signed, it's time to update the Brewers Top 50 prospects list heading into the final two months.
From previous: Traded - Jadher Areinamo (15). Graduated - Jacob Misiorowski (2), Anthony Siegler (36)
- SS Jesus Made(Previous: 1)
The top spot among Brewers prospects once again goes to Jesus Made. The 18 year old shortstop was the Crew's lone representative at the Futures Game in July and has already earned a promotion to High-A Wisconsin. Made has a combination of plus power and plus speed, swiping 40 bags with Low-A Carolina before his promotion. He has superstar potential written all over him.
MLB's No. 7 prospect Jesús Made becomes the youngest player to homer at High-A this season! (18 years, 91 days)
— MLB Pipeline (@MLBPipeline) August 8, 2025
The @Brewers' top-ranked prospect has a .901 OPS and five RBIs in his first three games with the @TimberRattlers. pic.twitter.com/Qq2Yej3vIV
2. SS Luis Pena (Previous: 8)
Not far behind Made is fellow 2024 international signee Luis Pena, who also was promoted to High-A Wisconsin at the same time as Made. Pena put up even better surface numbers with the Mudcats prior to his promotion and also happened to steal exactly 40 bases. Pena has a little less raw power than Made but a little more speed. The way he's been hitting, he also has superstar potential and this 1-2 punch atop the Brewers farm system has as much upside as any in the league.
3. SS Cooper Pratt(Previous: 3)
Three shortstops atop the Brewers prospect rankings and Pratt is the furthest along of the group, having spent the entire year in Double-A Biloxi, though Made and Pena are charging fast. Pratt has held his own as a 20 year old in Double-A in a pitching-friendly Southern League. He hasn't had any wow stats, but has cut down his strikeout rate and increased his walk rate. Good swing decisions are important for the Brewers and Pratt has made strides there.
4. RHP Logan Henderson(Previous: 5)
Logan Henderson has impressed in a handful of big league starts this year but he hasn't quite gotten enough under his belt to graduate from prospect status yet. Still, he looks the part of a very good mid-rotation starter for the Brewers for years to come and is in prime position to earn a regular rotation spot next year in Milwaukee.
5. C Jeferson Quero(Previous: 4)
The last two years for Jeferson Quero have been beset by injuries. He just recently returned from the IL for a shoulder injury suffered on a tag. Offensively he hasn't quite gotten the power back from last year's surgery and his throwing arm has not been as impressive as it used to be. There's hope that it could still bounce back the further he gets from surgery, and the upside is still there, but he'll need more reps and time before he's ready for the majors despite being so close.
6. 1B Blake Burke (Previous: 14)
The Brewers minor league leader in hits has earned a promotion to Double-A Biloxi, where he's been hitting the ball hard. While the big home run numbers Burke is known for didn't materialize in High-A, just five homers, he showed off an impressive hit tool with a .289 average and .380 on-base percentage. Burke is rising quickly through the system as a college corner infielder and could be big league ready mid-to-late 2026.
Blake Burke is hitting the ball hard in AA and already has 16 XBH at 105+ mph EV this year 💪#ThisIsMyCrewpic.twitter.com/y1spFGtOnD
— Brewers Player Development (@BrewersPD) August 8, 2025
7. 3B Andrew Fischer(Previous: College)
Another corner infield power bat from the University of Tennessee, Andrew Fischer is following in Burke's footsteps. Fischer was the Brewers first round pick in 2025 and a majority of the Brewers scouting department believed he was the best college hitter in the Draft this year. The Brewers are sending Fischer out as a third baseman but his long-term defensive home is more likely at first base.
8. LHP Robert Gasser(Previous: 9)
Robert Gasser is close to returning from Tommy John Surgery. His rehab assignment has been moved to Triple-A Nashville and all reports have been positive so far. He's on track to a return this season. Though with the Brewers current starting rotation, Gasser may not be able to crack the group. A relief role is possible this year with an eye on Gasser competing for a rotation spot in 2026.
9. RHP Bishop Letson(Previous: 10)
Of the Brewers vast crop of young, projectable pitchers, Bishop Letson is the one that has separated himself. He was putting up video game numbers in High-A with a 1.33 ERA in six game before an injury put him on the shelf. Letson is on track to return soon and the upside here is tremendous. I'd expect his arrival in Milwaukee to be closer to 2028, but he impresses whenever he's on the mound.
10. C Marco Dinges(Previous: 29)
The biggest climber in the Brewers prospect ranks throughout this year has been Marco Dinges. A 4th round pick out of Florida State in 2024, Dinges has just consistently raked all year and has gone from 42nd in the preseason list to 29th in the June update to now a top 10 prospect in the Brewers system. Dinges has continued to punish High-A pitching, hitting .305 since his promotion to Wisconsin with an .875 OPS.
11. SS Josh Adamczewski (Previous: 19)
Another big riser is Josh Adamczewski, who at times has looked like the best hitter on a loaded Carolina Mudcats team that also included top prospects Jesus Made and Luis Pena. He missed some time with an injury but is now back and has picked up where he left off. There may be some more power to come and he can stick up the middle defensively.
Josh Adamczewski has a dominant 1.124 OPS since his return to to the @CarolinaMudcats lineup on 7/18 ‼
— Brewers Player Development (@BrewersPD) August 4, 2025
Adamczewski has 3 home runs, 4 doubles, and 1 triple in the 12 games 🔥#ThisIsMyCrewpic.twitter.com/tEvnfAqybt
12. OF Braylon Payne (Previous: 11)
Braylon Payne was the Brewers surprise first round pick in 2024 that was heavily under-slot. Known for his speed, Payne has stolen 25 bases for Low-A Carolina. He has some solid numbers with an OPS over .800, but there's also a 27% strikeout rate that is concerningly high for Low-A.
13. SS Brady Ebel (Previous: High school)
The Brewers second selection in this year's Draft, Brady Ebel is a classic Milwaukee upside play outside of the first round. This was the year for high school shortstops and the Brewers grabbed their favorite in Ebel at 32 overall. Ebel is a well rounded hitter and has a strong enough throwing arm for third base if he needs to move off of shortstop.
14. 3B/OF Luke Adams (Previous: 16)
Luke Adams continues to draw walks and hit by pitches at an excellent rate. His power seemed to tick up a little bit as well and there's some really good speed in Adams despite his corner profile. The question still remains about how long until his passivity at the plate catches up to him. He's made some strides in that area this year but there's still a long way to go and a lot of risk in his profile.
15. 3B Eric Bitonti (Previous: 17)
After a slow start to the season, Eric Bitonti turned things around in June and July. He's supplying the power that he's expected to with 17 homers this year with a relatively meager overall slash line. He also has a concerning 34.5% strikeout rate that will make it tough for him to advance further up the system if he doesn't cut down on.
16. RHP Craig Yoho
The Brewers best relief-only prospect, Craig Yoho has had an interesting 2025 season. He's had some short call ups to the major leagues, where he has had some command problems, but is also continuing to dominate Triple-A. There's little left for him to prove in the minors, but bullpen spots in Milwaukee aren't easy to find.
17. LHP JD Thompson (Previous: College)
The Brewers signed JD Thompson for slot out of Vanderbilt in the 2nd round this year. Thompson is a pitchability lefty that could move fairly quickly through the system as a starting pitcher from a program that has a great reputation for developing pitching. Thompson is likely a back-end starting pitcher but with a high floor, he's easily inserted into the top 20 on this list.
18. 1B/3B Mike Boeve (Previous: 6)
Mike Boeve has struggled in 2025, in large part due to recovering from shoulder surgery in the offseason and missing the first month of the season. Since returning, it's taken him a little while to look like his old self and he really struggled in June. The numbers are down, but Boeve can still rake.
19. 3B Brock Wilken (Previous: 7)
Brock Wilken has dealt with some very poor injury luck that has brought down his prospect stock. After dealing with eye issues in 2024 following a HBP to the face, Wilken was rolling this year, and he still leads the Brewers minor leagues in home runs with 18, even though he hasn't played since June 18th. Wilken suffered a knee injury while Double-A Biloxi was celebrating a first half division title. He's out until September.
20. OF Luis Lara (Previous: 21)
Luis Lara has been solid in the pitcher-friendly Southern League. He's already drawn a career high number of walks and a career high in doubles with 26. He won't ever be a slugger but he makes contact, good swing decisions, and is speedy in centerfield, swiping 31 bases already. The ceiling is limited, but Lara has a high floor as a fourth outfielder.
21. RHP Tyson Hardin (Previous: 30)
Tyson Hardin is another player who was on the fringes of the Top 50 to start the year and has steadily climbed with some eye-opening numbers. In 16 starts, he's allowed just 14 walks and has struck out 86 with a 2.67 ERA. He quickly was promoted from High-A Wisconsin to Double-A Biloxi and made five starts there before landing on the injured list. He's looking like a legitimate starting pitching prospect that could help out in the near future.
22. RHP Brett Wichrowski (Previous: 24)
Brett Wichrowski popped up early last year and is having a solid second minor league season in Double-A Biloxi. He's remained a starter despite reliever risk and has a 3.71 ERA. His strikeout rate has dipped a bit and the walk rate has climbed a little, but overall he's been settling into his role and could remain a back end starter or high leverage reliever.
23. RHP Manuel Rodriguez (Previous: 27)
Manuel Rodriguez spent nearly two months on the IL this year, but he's continued to dominate out on the mound with a 2.50 ERA in 13 starts. His impeccable command has continued, with just 10 walks allowed on the year and he's struck out 52 in 57.2 IP. Keep in mind, he's just 20 years old, incredibly young for High-A as a pitcher and has looked fantastic.
24. RHP Carlos Rodriguez (Previous: 20)
Carlos Rodriguez answered the bell when the Brewers needed him back in May and he hasn't been back in Milwaukee since as he's been working his way back from an arm injury. He remains solid back-end rotation depth in Triple-A and could be called upon if a spot start is needed. He'll compete for a rotation spot in 2026 in what will be a crowded competition.
25. RHP Bryce Meccage (Previous: 18)
Bryce Meccage has been solid in Low-A Carolina this year for his first real taste of minor league ball. His ERA has hovered around the 4.00-4.50 range, but he has decent strikeout and walk numbers. He's a projectable right-hander that will take some time to develop, but has upside as a front of the rotation starter.
26. RHP Josh Knoth (Previous: 22)
Josh Knoth drops a little bit due to some additions to the system from the Draft and other players performing well. Knoth is out for the entire season with Tommy John surgery. He'll return in 2026 and continue to develop as a starting pitcher with upside at the front of a rotation, but is still years away as a young, projectable righty.
27. LHP Frank Cairone (Previous: High school)
The latest addition to the Brewers crop of young, projectable, high upside arms is Frank Cairone. He was the 68th overall pick this year out of the New Jersey prep ranks. Known for his high-spin slider, Cairone is a typical Brewers pitching lab project with a ton of ingredients to work with. The difference between him and most of the other projects is that Cairone is left-handed. He's years away but there's a lot of upside to dream on here.
28. 1B/3B Tyler Black (Previous: 12)
Tyler Black's prospect stock continues to fall in 2025 as he hasn't been able to crack the big league roster and even in Triple-A Nashville he hasn't been putting up good numbers. He's someone who is probably most in need of a change of scenery as he's limited defensively to first base and left field and his path to playing time is narrow. Unless something in the calculus changes, Black's stock will continue to drop.
29. LHP Tate Kuehner (Previous: 33)
Kuehner was a senior sign in the 2023 Draft and has steadily risen up the ranks as a left handed starter. He's putting up some really good numbers in Double-A this year with a 2.50 ERA in over 100 IP with 112 strikeouts. He's beset by a walk rate over 4.5 BB/9. Kuehner's upside is that of a back-end starter or swingman in the bullpen.
30. RHP Coleman Crow (Previous: 34)
Coleman Crow was the trade return for Tyrone Taylor and Adrian Houser. He's finally healthy and his stuff is looking as good as the Brewers hoped it would when they acquired him. He's already been promoted to Triple-A and the 24 year old has a 3.24 ERA in his first 12 starts with 64 Ks and just 12 walks in 50 IP. He's been on the IL since mid-July but he has upside to remain a starting pitcher and could compete for MLB innings in 2026.
31. SS Filippo Di Turi (Previous: 26)
Di Turi has moved quickly and has spent the year in Low-A Carolina as a 19 year old. He's holding his own with some solid numbers, but is clearly playing with more power. Di Turi is up to 10 home runs on the season, but it's also come with a big increase in his strikeout numbers. He'll try to find a decent balance between the two, but there's still some good upside here as a switch-hitting shortstop with some pop.
32. RHP Jayden Dubanewicz (Previous: NR)
This is the next tier of young, projectable right-handed pitchers the Brewers have in their system. All of them are from the 2024 Draft and are in their first year of playing pro ball. Dubanewicz has been incredibly impressive, earning an early promotion to Low-A and he's continued to pitch well since arriving there. He's kept the walks down and runs off the board.
Jayden Dubanewicz has impressed since his promotion to the @CarolinaMudcats
— Brewers Player Development (@BrewersPD) July 31, 2025
Dubanewicz has posted a 21:6 K:BB ratio and only allowed 8 ER in 34.1 innings#ThisIsMyCrewpic.twitter.com/FSNdVcsvEx
33. RHP Ethan Dorchies (Previous: NR)
Dorchies, the Crew's 10th round pick in 2024, has also impressed across the ACL and Low-A. He's bounced back and forth between starting and relieving, but his long-term outlook is still as a starting pitcher. Dorchies has a prototypical starter's build at 6'5" and 215 pounds. He's allowed walks at a little higher of a clip than Dubanewicz but he's struck out more than 10 batters per nine.
34. RHP Tyler Renz (Previous: NR)
Tyler Renz has a big, projectable frame at 6'4" and 180 pounds. He showed well in the ACL and earned himself a promotion to Low-A Carolina with the rest of his 2024 draft-mates. The numbers are strong and Renz remains on track to be a starting pitcher as he moves up the system.
35. RHP Griffin Tobias (Previous: NR)
Griffin Tobias was the Brewers' 9th round pick last year but despite being the highest selected player of this tier of arms, his numbers haven't been as impressive on the surface. Tobias has allowed a lot of traffic and has a 4.53 ERA through 51.2 IP, but on the bright side, he's only allowed six walks. He's suffered from a high opponent BABIP, and there's still hope for him as a starting pitcher.
36. 1B Ernesto Martinez (Previous: 25)
Ernesto Martinez came into the year positioned as a player who could make the jump to the big leagues at first base if Jake Bauers faltered. Instead, the 26 year old Martinez has struggled and Andrew Vaughn instead took the first base opportunity and ran with it. The lefty hitting Martinez is right on the verge of the majors and there may be an opportunity with Milwaukee in 2026, and the Brewers do like him, but he hasn't pushed through yet.
37. OF Jose Anderson (Previous: 28)
While less heralded than the other members of his 2024 Brewers international signing class, Jesus Made and Luis Pena, Jose Anderson also made the quick jump to full season ball and it's taken him a little bit to adjust, but his power has certainly shown up. He'll have to find a good balance between hitting for power and being able to make enough contact to make use of that power. There's big upside here, but it won't be moving as quickly as Made or Pena.
38. OF Brailyn Antunez (Previous: 31)
One of the big international signings this year for the Brewers, Brailyn Antunez hasn't been putting up eye-popping numbers in the DSL this year. The speed is certainly there, but it'll take some more time for the power and hitting ability to round into form. He was regarded as one of the best hitters coming out of Venezuela this year and we'll likely see him stateside next year.
39. RHP Justin Yeager (Previous: 40)
A relief-only prospect, Yeager was acquired in the William Contreras trade and has finally gotten the promotion to Triple-A. Yeager has been a really good back-end of the bullpen arm. He's on the verge of the big leagues and is likely going to compete for a bullpen spot in 2026. He's Rule 5 eligible again this offseason and could earn a 40 man roster spot.
40. LHP Brian Fitzpatrick (Previous: NR)
Another pitcher who recently earned the promotion to Triple-A, Brian Fitzpatrick fits the Brewers mold of extremely tall relievers, standing at 6'7" and 230 pounds. He had a terrific stretch in Double-A and even earned a couple of saves.
41. 2B Ethan Murray (Previous: 45)
Ethan Murray, also recently promoted to Triple-A, could be the 2026 version of Isaac Collins. He's an infielder that is likely a utility player at the big league level and has just kept on putting up really good numbers at the plate. He had an .823 OPS in the pitcher-friendly Southern League this year and is putting himself in position to battle for a bench spot next year.
42. 2B/OF Dylan O'Rae (Previous: 35)
Dylan O'Rae has missed the entire season after undergoing wrist surgery. He's a contact-oriented bat with speed and not much for pop. He'll be ready to go for spring training in 2026 and should return to Double-A.
43. RHP KC Hunt (Previous: 23)
KC Hunt was a fantastic breakout story last year. He's come back down to earth here a little bit in 2025, with an ERA north of 4.50. His walk rate has jumped and strikeout rate has decreased. Hunt has remained a starter. The stuff backing up is a concern as to how legitimate his breakout last year was, so he drops significantly in this update.
44. OF Handelfry Encarnacion (Previous: 41)
The fourth member of the Brewers 2024 international class to make the jump to Low-A Carolina, Handelfry Encarnacion impressed in the ACL and recently earned the promotion to the Mudcats. He makes good swing decisions and has some pop as well to give him some upside.
45. RHP Alexander Cornielle (Previous: 38)
Cornielle made the jump to Double-A this year and he's done well, dropping his ERA to the mid-3s. However, he's also done that despite his walk rate increasing by more than a walk per nine. He'll have to rein his control back in to reach his upside as a back-end starter.
46. RHP Jaron DeBerry (Previous: 39)
Jaron DeBerry received a promotion to Double-A despite middling numbers in High-A Wisconsin. The 2024 3rd round pick has great spin rates and leans heavily on his breaking balls. When he's on, he has back-end of the rotation potential.
47. RHP Melvin Hernandez (Previous: NR)
The Brewers have had some surprising success with unheralded international pitching prospects. Manuel Rodriguez is the furthest along but Melvin Hernandez appears to be the next in line. For Low-A Carolina, Hernandez has a 2.39 ERA in 98 IP and has allowed just 19 walks. That kind of command and results as a 19 year old in Low-A is impressive. If he can add some weight to his slender frame of 5'11" and 139 pounds, he could take a big jump.
Melvin Hernandez keeps his brilliant season going with 4 scoreless innings, striking out 4 and only walking 1 💪
— Brewers Player Development (@BrewersPD) July 29, 2025
Hernandez has 69:16 K:BB ratio while only giving up 2 home runs in 87.2 IP this year#ThisIsMyCrewpic.twitter.com/GTQDLS5fgw
48. RHP Travis Smith (Previous: 44)
Travis Smith hasn't gotten the big strikeout numbers in his first full pro season, but he also doesn't walk many and has kept runs off the board with a sub-3.50 ERA. Smith has a good starter's build at 6'4" and 220 pounds so there's not much physical projection left, it's all about polishing the arsenal and building up his innings.
49. SS Eduardo Garcia (Previous: 47)
Recently promoted to Double-A, Eduardo Garcia is an up-the-middle defender that has shown a solid mix of power and speed. He's stolen a career high 36 bases this season and has a career high 24 doubles. Garcia has also slugged 13 homers. Swing decisions have been a major problem for Garcia. He has drawn more walks this year, which is good, but still strikes out way too much.
50. OF Hedbert Perez (Previous: 46)
Hedbert Perez has continued to take steps forward in his swing decisions little by little. He finally has a fully healthy season for the first time in a while and he's taken advantage of it. He's likely a fourth outfielder at the big league level, and will need to continue to make more contact and improve swing decisions.
Dropped from the June Top 50 list: SS Juan Baez (32), OF Kenny Fenelon (37), SS Christopher Acosta (42), RHP Ryan Birchard (43), SS Gery Holguin (48), SS Juan Ortuno (49), RHP Jack Hostetler (50)
