The previous three scheduled Sunday night racing events and six of the past eight programs at Casino Speedway were wiped out by the weather.
WATERTOWN — For the first time in nearly a month, Mother Nature failed to put the kibosh on a scheduled racing program at Casino Speedway.
A field of 78 cars competed on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025 at the local race track. The previous three Sunday night events and six of the past eight racing programs have been wiped out by the weather.
Jeff Rohner of Willmar, MN won his fifth hornets feature of the season and Chad Becker of Aberdeen took his fourth late model main.
Other feature winners were Trevor Walsh of Watertown, Gen X late models; Maria Broskieck of Goodwin, street stocks; Adam Brotherton of Huron, modifieds; and Ryan Flaten of Madison, MN, Midwest modifieds. Walsh's feature win was his third of the season at Casino. Broksieck won for the second time and Flaten and Brotherton each recorded their first victories.
The Clash, featuring the Tri-State Late Models, is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16.

MILLER — Josh Skorczewski of Aberdeen (late models) and Trevor Nelson of Warner (super stocks) each won feature races on Friday, Aug. 8.
Mike Stearns of Aberdeen won a late model heat rces. Stewart Schipke of Aberdeen and Nelson ecah won super stock heats.
The Tri-State Late Models series is scheduled to race on Friday, Aug. 15.
Fiesta City Speedway
MONTEVIDEO, MN — Canby drivers Josh Long (streest stocks) and Adam VanDerostyne (hornets) collected feature wins on Friday, Aug., 8.
VanDerostyne also won a heat race along with area drivers Scott Tofte of Madison and Shane Dejong of Boyd in the Midwest modified class.
Another racing program is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m.
Other area racetracks
The Friday, Aug. 8 racing program at I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN was called off because of the weather.
There were no scheduled racing events over the weekend at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen and Madison, MN Speedway.
