The Indiana Fever picked up a 92-70 home victory over the Chicago Sky, once again proving their ability to get the job done in spite of injuries to key players. Both teams came into the game with heavily depleted rosters: it was Indiana’s 10th straight game without All-Star guard Caitlin Clark, who continues to recover from a groin injury and has now missed 19 total games this season. The Sky, on the other hand, played without star forward Angel Reese for a fifth consecutive game due to a back injury.

Nevertheless, it was the Fever who ran the show, dominating the contest early with a double-digit lead in the first quarter. The victory solidified Indiana’s postseason positioning, while Chicago’s loss further dented its postseason hopes.

Caitlin Clark Goes Viral Despite Absence from Fever Game

Though Clark didn’t suit up on Saturday, she still made headlines during the game. Midway through a timeout, the 23-year-old guard, dressed in street clothes, was caught on camera making an exaggerated, playful face toward the other end of the court.

The lighthearted moment quickly drew attention on social media, as fans couldn’t get enough of her sense of humor.

“She got too much time on her hands! 🤣🤣🤣♥️♥️,” one fan wrote.

“She is like a 7 year old sometimes. Love it,” another fan added.

“She’s the least annoying person on earth,” a third fan wrote.

“How can anyone not like her?” another fan remarked.

“Get this woman on the court lol she is too fun,” another fan posted.

It’s not the first time Clark’s facial expressions have got basketball fans talking this season. At the WNBA All-Star Game in July, The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year turned into comedic gold and was caught on camera theatrically challenging a non-call with Sabrina Ionescu and A’ja Wilson mimicking her gesture in unison.

No Timetable for Caitlin Clark’s Return

Clark remains sidelined with a groin injury, marking her third health setback of the season. Her lengthened absence also comes at a challenging time for the Fever, who have now lost Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald to season-ending injuries.

With no firm timetable for her return, her status remains uncertain just as the Fever navigate a critical stretch toward the playoffs. At the moment, Indiana has managed to stay afloat without Clark, with six wins in its last 10 games. However, Clark’s eventual return will be most crucial to the Fever's championship aspirations this season.
