Both teams came into the game with heavily depleted rosters: it was Indiana’s 10th straight game without All-Star guard Caitlin Clark, who continues to recover from a groin injury and has now missed 19 total games this season. The Sky, on the other hand, played without star forward Angel Reese for a fifth consecutive game due to a back injury.
Nevertheless, it was the Fever who ran the show, dominating the contest early with a double-digit lead in the first quarter. The victory solidified Indiana’s postseason positioning, while Chicago’s loss further dented its postseason hopes.

Clark remains sidelined with a groin injury, marking her third health setback of the season. Her lengthened absence also comes at a challenging time for the Fever, who have now lost Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald to season-ending injuries.
With no firm timetable for her return, her status remains uncertain just as the Fever navigate a critical stretch toward the playoffs. At the moment, Indiana has managed to stay afloat without Clark, with six wins in its last 10 games.
