Through two seasons, Angel Reese has become one of the WNBA’s most indispensable players.

Now in her second professional season, she continues to shine on the court, leading the league in rebounding at 12.6 per game while averaging 14.2 points, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals a night.

On July 6, Reese was named to her second straight WNBA All-Star Game and just a week later, became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 40 career double-doubles, doing it in just 54 games

Amid all of this, a notable crossover surfaced on Saturday when streamer PlaqueBoyMax discussed bringing Reese onto his new show "In The Gym," which spotlights celebrities and pro athletes working through live training sessions.

When explaining why he wants Reese, specifically, PlaqueBoyMax said, "Because I feel like [expletive] disrespect the [expletive] out of Angel Reese and I think she deserves her credit for how good of a basketball player she is. [expletive] always try to downplay her, downplay her talent. I don't think that's cool. That's whack. Y'all always trying to undervalue the talent of these women."

Angel Reese's Branding, Partnerships and Off-Court Influence

Reese isn't just one of the WNBA's most talented young players she's also one of the most marketable.

Her tunnel fits, fashion moments and branding have turned pregame walk-ins into cultural highlights, drawing fashion and entertainment audiences into WNBA conversations.

She’s been visible at events like the Met Gala and Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and her evolving style continues to trend in sports and lifestyle circles.

Nicknamed the "Bayou Barbie," Reese's brand portfolio is broad as well. Below are just a few major brands and projects she has been a part of:

  • Multi-year partnership with Reebok, including a signature "Angel Reese 1’s" sneaker and a "Reebok X Angel Reese" footwear and apparel collection.
  • McDonald’s "Angel Reese Special" (BBQ Bacon Quarter Pounder w/ fries & drink) was released February 10, the first national McDonald’s meal named for a female athlete.
  • Hershey’s Reese’s ambassador/apparel collaboration (Angel x Reese’s drops and merch).
  • Personal brand site/merch (TheAngelReese.com — drops, "Mebounds" line, proceeds support anti-cyberbullying foundation).
  • Podcast "Unapologetically Angel" on Playmaker network.
  • Prominent participation in Unrivaled (3×3) — Defensive Player honors, 20–20 game, championship exposure.
  • Was named the cover athlete for the WNBA Edition of NBA 2K26 on July 9.
  • Additional notable partnerships include Beats by Dre, Amazon, Bose, Discord, Outback Steakhouse, Sonic, Wingstop, TurboTax, Xfinity, Coach and other lifestyle campaigns.

Andscape has also chronicled how Reese bridges sports and music, with connections to artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé, proof of her ability to "weave culture deeper into the fabric of the WNBA," drawing new fans to the league.

Whether or not she takes PlaqueBoyMax up on his offer remains to be seen, but it certainly feels like a possibility. She’s already a bridge between basketball, fashion and music, so training content feels like a logical extension for the "Bayou Barbie" brand.
