Justin Jefferson was forced to stay away from action as the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Houston Texans in the preseason opener on Saturday. The 26-year-old is mending a mild hamstring strain he sustained in the training camp a couple of weeks ago.
The four-time Pro Bowler replaced football with a mic in the second half. He was mic'd up on the sidelines for the third quarter. The broadcasters asked Jefferson to pick the best looking guy on the sidelines.
"Honestly, nobody got the best jewelry on like I got," Jefferson said. "This is the top-tier right here. This is the best."

Jefferson then walked to fellow wide receiver Jordan Addison to reveal his choice.
"This is the guy right here. He got the jewelry on. Look at Jordan He Got The Baguettes On," he said.

Paul Allen later told Jefferson to ask the Vikings' head coach Kevin O'Connell if he can call a play.
"He doesn't have any control guys," Jefferson responded after asking O'Connell.
Paul replied that he has all the control. The Vikings' HC then asked Jefferson to tell Paul that he called the first play.
"Apparently I called the first play guys," he said.

Jefferson also participated in a trivia quiz and nailed it. He was asked which of his performances are in the franchise top 7 for receivers. The Vikings' WR was right on money and listed all four occasions.
"1,771 yards in 2022, 1,533 yards in 2024, 1,509 yards in 2021 and 1,400 yards in 2020."
J.J. McCarthy's primary weapon is unlikely to play a snap in the preseason. O'Connell is confident about Jefferson's availability for the Week 1 clash against the Chicago Bears. NFL insider Darren Wolfson reported that the 2022 NFL Offensive Player of the Year will join the practice in the last week of August.
