Lexie Hull heads to locker room.

The Indiana Fever entered Saturday’s meeting with the Chicago Sky already stretched on guard depth.

Caitlin Clark missed her 10th straight game with a groin strain and the Fever were navigating the week’s losses of Aari McDonald (foot) and Sydney Colson (knee), both ruled out for the season.

The setup put more on Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell and quietly, on Lexie Hull, who has quickly become a core piece in the rotation.

Unfortunately, Indiana may now be without one of their fan favorites.

Midway through the game, Hull came down on Rebecca Allen’s foot and rolled her right ankle, subsequently returning to the locker room for evaluation.

There was no immediate official update on her status during the broadcast.

Thankfully, shortly after going to the locker room, Hull returned to the game, signaling that she should be fine, at least in the short term.

Lexie Hull’s 2025 Breakout, By the Numbers

Hull has posted career highs across the board this season, averaging 25.6 minutes, 6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals per contest, while starting 18 of 31 games coming into Saturday.

She’s attempted three threes per game and is converting at 35.5% from deep, all while taking on a larger usage rate (12.5%), a career-best volume-and-accuracy pairing that reflects increased trust in her from the coaching staff.

The Fever had leaned on Hull for minutes, matchups and connective offense across this Clark-less stretch; any interruption to her availability tightens an already thin rotation on the perimeter.

With Clark still sidelined and two reserve guards out for the season, Indiana cannot easily replace a two-way wing who eats minutes on the opponent’s top guards and spaces the floor.

Even a short absence could severely alter the last month of the regular season for Indiana.
