Top 2026 recruit Adaline Sheplee has committed to Wisconsin, she told Rivals, The 6-3 wing from Rice Lake (Wisconsin) will stay home to play for new head coach Robin Pingeton

“They came in later in my process because obviously there was a coaching change,” Sheplee told Rivals. “I started building my relationship with them later in my process. I really liked Coach P and I really connected with her right from the start. To be honest, I wasn’t planning on going to Wisconsin through my whole process. It just wasn’t where I wanted to end up. I thought I wanted to go somewhere out of state. Then I got to know her and I really connected with her. She has a really strong faith, which is also really important to me. I connected with her and also just became excited about her vision that she has, and the opportunity to make a big impact and do something unique in my home state and help the program out.”

Pingeton’s vision for the program played a major role in Sheplee’s decision. She can see herself fitting in with the way they’ll play on the court and was excited about the way they’ll help her grow as a player.

“I’ve loved how they talk about their player development,” Sheplee said. “They’ve been very specific with it, and that was a big part that was important to me in my process. Also, they like to play fast, and they’re very specific and honest about where they see me and how I fit into their style of play. I really appreciated that during the process.”

While her arrival on campus is still nearly a year away, there’s a lot to be excited about as her time approaches.

“Just being able to represent my home state,” Sheplee said. “My first visit was to Wisconsin and ever since I was little, you always watched your home team growing up. My whole family – everybody reps Wisconsin gear, and so to be part of that is just really exciting.”
