Stock report following the Jets' 30-10 preseason win vs. the Packers.
The New York Jets got after it in Week 1 NFL preseason by beating the Green Bay Packers in 30-10 fashion.
Stocks of players always go up and down after games, even more so in the exhibition season as players are vying to make the final roster.
With that, here is Jets Wire's stock report following the team's preseason win over the Packers:
Stock down: Head coach Aaron Glenn
Congrats to Glenn on winning his first game as a head coach. While his team had plenty of positives to be found in their effort, 10 penalties for 91 yards. A few were personal fouls and that is very ugly.
Stock up: QB Justin Fields
It was only one series, but Fields looked like a starting QB. He was 3-for-4 passing for 42 yards and went on to rush in a touchdown on the first drive of his Jets career.
Stock up: Offensive line
Fields and the Jets overall offense against the Packers did well because the offensive line played great. The Packers did not record a sack and there was positive play on the ground.
Stock up: DT Jay Tufele
Tufele stole the show from Fields. The defensive lineman had a massive outing, recording 1.5 sacks, a tackle for loss, two QB hits and scored on a fumble recovery.
Stock up: DE Leonard Taylor III
Tufele had the touchdown thanks to Taylor.
Taylor recorded the strip-sack which allowed Tufele to scoop the ball up in the end zone and score.
Stock down: RB Breece Hall
While the Jets offensive line did play well, Hall did not do great in his limited touches. He only had nine yards on three carries with no catches in the passing game.
Meanwhile, Braelon Allen stood out by averaging 4.1 yards per carry on eight rushes.
Stock down: WR Allen Lazard
As a veteran, Lazard has not stood out much at all this summer. While he did have two catches for 17 yards against his former team, Lazard sustained a shoulder injury which does not help preseason stock at all.
