The Green Bay Packers preseason game isn't canceled tonight but fans should be on weather watch.
Heavy rains have hit the Green Bay area and are expected to extend into the evening for the Packers preseason opener against the New York Jets at Lambeau Field.
Whether the game is suspended at any point due to the severe weather remains to be seen. But fans hopefully brought their ponchos. It's going to be wet and windy.

Is the Packer game canceled?
The Packers game is not canceled but there's no question coaches have been keeping their eyes on weather apps all day.
The Packers have had to contend with wildfire smoke and some weather warnings for high heat and humidity during training camp but haven't dealt with rain yet. That changes tonight.

Brown County is under a flood watch until 10 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, with heavy rain forecast for Green Bay during the afternoon and evening.

There's a "slight risk" of severe thunderstorms across much of northeast Wisconsin, the NWS says. Damaging winds and torrential rainfall are also possible in parts of east-central Wisconsin. This includes the Fox Valley through early evening, the NWS adds.

Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected.
Head coach Matt LaFleur implied this week that he was going to play his starters tonight, but might the wet weather change his plans?
The high on Saturday in Green Bay is 87 degrees with heat index values as high as 94 degrees with upper 60 dew points. Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 22 mph.
