She did not hold back.

The Indiana Fever are back in action on Thursday night as they play the Phoenix Mercury in what will be the fourth and final game of their current road trip.

The last time these two sides met was on July 30 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the game drew controversy because of the behavior of the Indiana fans in attendance.

Aliyah Boston Reveals Backlash Over Booing

Fever star Aliyah Boston addressed the incident in question on Wednesday’s episode of her new podcast with WNBA legend Candace Parker, “Post Moves.” Boston revealed that she received some feedback for her comments about the Fever fans booing former Indiana player DeWanna Bonner in her return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

"In the media, they asked me postgame, and they were like, 'How do you feel about them booing?'" Boston said. "I was like, 'When am I supposed to stop the game and be like, please, no.'"

The three-time All-Star was referencing the Fever fans jeering Bonner during the game. The Indiana faithful made their true feelings about the veteran abundantly clear after Bonner recently forced her way out of Indiana after just nine games played.

"I don't understand," Boston continued. "Everyone started coming at me. People were in my mentions, and I was like, 'Dang, guys. I don't know what you guys want me to say. Just vibe.' ... You don't have to tag me. Every quote doesn't have to be about AB, I promise."

Apparently, Boston found herself on the wrong end of some backlash for her take on the incident. The Fever star, however, isn’t backing down.

Boston explained that booing is just part of the territory, citing the Fever’s recent experience against the New York Liberty when opposing fans booed them at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. “It’s just going to happen,” she said.

Fever Battle Bonner in Phoenix

Thursday’s matchup at PHX Arena will give Boston and the Fever another opportunity to face off against Bonner. The players do not appear to have any ill will against their former teammate, who simply decided that Indiana was not for her after signing with the team as a free agent during the offseason.

After Bonner's leave of absence in the middle of the season, the Fever decided to waive the six-time All-Star's contract, which allowed her to sign with the Mercury as a free agent. It was a homecoming for the two-time WNBA champion, having spent the first 11 years of her career in Phoenix.

It is also clear that there’s a lot of love for Bonner among the Mercury supporters, which is far from how the Fever faithful feel about her.
