The 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship has moved to the weekend at TPC Southwind in Memphis. This is the first stage of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. But the second round still needs to be completed. Bad weather rolled into the Memphis area Friday and at 3:31 p.m. local time (4:31 p.m. ET) play was suspended. About 90 minutes later it was called for the day.
The par-70, 7,288-yard course is hosting the top 69 (Rory McIlroy chose to skip) golfers in the FedEx Cup standings. The tournament's defending champion, Hideki Matsuyama, is in the field. Note that no one has gone back-to-back at TPC Southwind since Daniel Berger did so in 2016-17.

Who's leading the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship?
That would be Tommy Fleetwood. Still seeking his first PGA Tour title in what is now his 162nd career start, Fleetwood had four straight birdies on the back nine two days in a row now. His lone bogey Friday at No. 18 is the only thing that kept the Englishman from posting back-to-back 63s.
Cameron Young ended his PGA Tour victory drought a week ago. Is this week Fleetwood's time to win?
"We'll see. Happy to put myself in with a chance over the weekend. I think that's exactly where you want to be and keep testing yourself," said the six-time PGA Tour runner-up. "Yeah, it hasn't happened for me yet out on the PGA Tour, but I would much rather be up there and not quite get it done than not there at all, and who knows, maybe this weekend is the weekend and we'll see, and we'll crack on from there. But look forward to tomorrow first."
