Everything you need to know to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 of the NFL preseason.
The Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to play their first game since February in a preseason exhibition against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Chiefs are desperately trying to bounce back after their devastating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX and will make a point to have a strong opening drive.
Kansas City's starters aren't expected to see much time on the field, so the primary focus will be on the Chiefs' depth. Rookie offensive lineman Josh Simmons has been a standout at training camp this year and can help solve the glaring problems on offense if he can have a good game.

Chiefs vs. Broncos prediction:
Chiefs 21, Cardinals 34: Kansas City's starters will see the field for only a few short minutes before the second- and third-string players take over, so don't expect to see an offensive explosion for most of the game. Quarterbacks Gardner Minshew and Bailey Zappe will be able to provide more than serviceable shot-calling. The Cardinals are a much-improved team this season and will put up enough of a fight to squeeze out a win against the AFC champions.
