The Indiana Fever currently sit in fifth place in the standings with a 17-13 record during the 2025 WNBA season. On Tuesday, they had their five-game winning streak snapped, but they remain just 1.5 games back from home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Due to various injuries and roster moves, Indiana has employed six different starting lineups this season under first-year head coach Stephanie White. The team is still tinkering with its roster as it attempts to make a deep playoff push.

With the WNBA trade deadline on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. ET, the Fever will have to decide if they want to make a move quickly.

Indiana Fever Veteran Damiris Dantas Named Trade Candidate

Veteran forward Damiris Dantas, a 10-year veteran who joined the team in 2024, is averaging 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game for the Fever in 2025. However, she has seen her role decrease since the All-Star break.

After playing just six minutes against the Los Angeles Sparks, Dantas' name came up as a potential trade candidate for the Fever ahead of the trade deadline. USA Today's Meghan L. Hall dissected why Dantas could be moved, although she did not feel it was likely.

"It's hard to gauge what the Fever's plan is for Dantas. Her minutes have been all over the place and so has her production. That said, the Fever seem to have patience," Hall wrote. "A move probably isn't likely, but for a team wanting to continually stay in the contender conversations, reorganizing the bottom of the roster isn't out of reach."

Indiana recently signed forward Chloe Bibby, who has impressed in her short five-game stint with the team. Bibby adds another element to the frontcourt with her three-point shooting, as she is shooting 50.0% from beyond the arc while Dantas shoots just 27.6%.

With Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard as the two premier post players and young assets like Bibby and Makayla Timpson both showing promise, Dantas is the obvious candidate if the Fever want to make a move.

She may not have a great market for herself, however, at 33 years old, but a team that has title aspirations and needs a quick addition to their frontcourt depth could make a call to Indiana. The Fever would then have to weigh the return and decide if Dantas is more valuable.
