The King had to chime in.
Browns' Shedeur Sanders praised by LeBron James during impressive NFL debut originally appeared on The Sporting News
Everyone was watching Shedeur Sanders' NFL preseason debut for the Cleveland Browns.
Even the King.
LeBron James, the Akron, Ohio native, was tuned in as the Colorado star made the start for Cleveland in Carolina on Friday night.
And LeBron was impressed with what he saw.
Sanders threw two first-half touchdowns to Kaden Davis, both extremely impressive passes.
The first featured a tight-window throw on his third read on a bootleg left.

The second came on a sweet sidestep in the pocket to avoid the rush before threading a low dime to a sliding Davis in the center of the end zone.
James chimed in on X as the game went to the half with the Browns up 14-7:
That young 🤴🏾 looking good out there! @ShedeurSanders Keep going UP!!! HEAD down on the grind and HEAD high to the most high 🙌🏾🫡

LeBron used to be a football star back in the day. At St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, he was a monster wide receiver.
Clearly, the 6-foot-8 all-world athlete would be an incredible target on a football field, even in the NFL. Star wideout Davante Adams recently said he knows LeBron would've been a great pass catcher in the league.
But that's not the path LeBron took. Instead, he's one of the best basketball players of all time.
And on Friday night, he was like the rest of us, watching to see how Shedeur looked. And LeBron, like the rest of us, was quite impressed.
