UConn Football OL Wes Hoeh has been named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List, given to the nation's top center.
Wes Hoeh becomes the latest UConn Football player to be named to a preseason watch list, as he was honored as one of 40 centers named to the 2025 Rimington Trophy Preseason Watch List on Friday afternoon.
The award is named after University of Nebraska center Dave Rimington and is presented annually to the top center in college football each season since 2000.
Hoeh joined the Huskies ahead of the 2024 season after spending three seasons at Syracuse, where he appeared in 24 games over three seasons, playing fullback and along the interior of the offensive line. Once he got to Storrs is where his career took off a bit.
Not too long after joining the Huskies ahead of the 2024 season, Hoeh earned the starting center job and didn’t look back. According to PFF, Hoeh was one of the most consistent offensive linemen on the Huskies roster as he posted 69.8 pass block grade and 74.1 run blocking grade. Additionally, he allowed the 14 pressures and no sacks all season long.
The only other Husky to ever receive this preseason honor was Ryan Crozier back in 2018.
