The ongoing drama on local NBA broadcast rights provided a new update this past May. The Sports Business Journal reported that FanDuel Sports Network will remain the broadcast home of 13 teams for the 2025-26 regular season.

The parent company, Main Street Sports Group, agreed to new contracts with five NBA teams that could've exited their broadcast deal after the 2024-25 season. They were the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Oklahoma City Thunder were part of the other eight teams that still had time left on their deals with the broadcast company. They have two years left on their contract with Main Sports Group. It's set to expire after the 2026-27 season. Next year's right fees are $16.67 million.

It's been quite the adventurous last few years for FanDuel Sports Network. Main Street Sports Group — previously known as Diamond Sports Group — filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2023. The parent company rebranded after it successfully emerged from it in January 2025. This came after Bally Sports rebranded to FanDuel Sports Network in October 2024.

While some NBA teams left to do their own local broadcasts, others remained with the company. The Thunder have remained with FanDuel Sports Network, but with a handful of regular-season games over the last two seasons being locally aired. The Thunder's games are also streamed on Amazon Prime to give fans other ways to watch.

The Sports Business Journal also reported that the NBA has told the 13 teams to be patient. The league hopes to launch a national streaming service for local rights soon. The platform would arrive no later than 2027. Amazon, Apple, YouTube, Roku and ESPN are possible destinations for the service.

Until then, though, the Thunder will likely stay on FanDuel Sports Network for at least two more seasons.
