Lions CB Ennis Rakestraw posts pic of himself prepped for surgery to his Instagram story on Thursday morning

Lions cornerback Ennis Rakestraw suffered another injury on Monday night, a shoulder injury that left the second-year CB on the ground for a few minutes before exiting the practice area with trainers. Head coach Dan Campbell gave a nonspecific timeframe for any potential Rakestraw return, but Campbell didn't sound optimistic.

That pessimism was reaffirmed by Rakestraw himself on Thursday morning. Rakestraw posted to his Instagram story a picture of himself appearing prepped for surgery.

"Road to Be back starts soon," Rakestraw captioned, without revealing any deeper details.

Rakestraw was already dealing with a chest contusion suffered on the first day of training camp when he went down with the shoulder injury. It is unclear the exact procedure or injury that is being surgically repaired. Here's to a speedy recovery!
